56th Annual NIEA Convention & Trade Show
Empowering Sovereignty: Our Legacies, Our Futures

Join us in Spokane, Washington, for the 56th Annual NIEA Convention and Trade Show, happening October 8–11, 2025! Each year, this powerful gathering brings together thousands of Native educators, students, Tribal leaders, and advocates from across the country to celebrate, strengthen, and shape the future of Native education.

Our 2025 theme, “Empowering Sovereignty: Our Legacies, Our Futures,” honors where we’ve been and looks boldly toward where we’re going—centering culture, language, and community every step of the way.

Highlights include:

  • Educator Day (Oct. 8): A full day of learning, connection, and celebration for educators working in Native-serving schools and programs.

  • Student Day (Oct. 10): A youth-focused experience designed to uplift and inspire Native students through interactive sessions, cultural activities, and peer connection.

With engaging keynotes, hands-on workshops, cultural events, and a robust exhibit hall, the NIEA Convention is a space to connect, grow, and lead together.
