Continuing Education Hours

NIEA is pleased to offer certificates of Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) hours for participation in the Annual Convention and Trade Show and Annual Educator Day.

Attendees may purchase a certificate of CTLE hours for $5. The CTLE certificates are made possible through a partnership with Niagara University.

Attendees applying for CTLEs will need to purchase the certificate when registering for the Convention and/or Educator Day.

Premium level members receive a certificate of CTLE hours for participation in the Convention at no cost as a benefit of membership.

  • Workshops are the only sessions that can be counted for continuing education purposes. Opening and closing general sessions and member meetings do not count towards continuing education hours.

If you purchase a certificate of CTLE hours for attending Convention, you will receive 10 hours of CTLE.

If you purchase a certificate of CTLE hours for attending Educator Day, you will receive  4 hours of CTLE.

  • CTLE hours must be purchased when you register for the event. When registering for Convention or Educator Day, select “Certificate of Continuing Education Hours” as an add-on to your registration.

If you are purchasing a certificate for participation in both Convention and Educator Day, you will need to add the certificate during each event registration.

Following Convention, an NIEA staff member will reach out to collect additional information that is needed for your certificate. Additional information needed includes your date of birth and the last four digits of your social security number.

You will receive your certificate directly from Niagara University over email.
