As the only national organization advocating for improved educational opportunities for Native students, NIEA leads national efforts to advance Native education. NIEA engages with tribes, congressional leaders, and national partners to ensure that Native children and youth have the support and resources necessary for success in the classroom and beyond.

From ensuring federal funding for Native education to advancing Native language curricula, NIEA advocates for policies that expand Native control of Native education and support excellent culture-based education.
